The small “lighthouse” often pictured at Geneva-on-the-Lake is a navigation light at the Geneva Marina breakwater. The local Visitors Bureau’s shoreline photograph shows a simple white beacon with a green band on the rocks. It is not a large historic lighthouse with a keeper’s house or an advertised tower tour.

Choose a permitted public viewing area and follow all posted access restrictions. A beacon’s visibility in a photograph does not mean the breakwater or structure is open for climbing or close approach.
